Spring 2016 - Undergraduate Course Descriptions
Description of Course:
This drawing course has particular focus for students interested in the figure and appreciation for animation and time-based art. Classic drawing methods and figure drawing will be explored along with movement studies. Figure drawing sessions will be with a nude model. Working through a series of exercises and drawing assignments, students will build skill and technique throughout the semester. In addition to and beyond technique, students will engage in a practice of drawing with objectives toward focus, creativity, and discipline.
None. Supplementary resource texts are listed in the class syllabus but not required.
Course Requirements/Evaluation Criteria:
1. Attendance and participation in studio class sessions.
2. Willingness to investigate and grow artistically, developing a stronger and more sensitive vision through the drawing practice.
3. Completion of weekly outside assignments.
