Course Title
Vocal Ensemble III

Description of Course:

This course is intended to train students in ensemble singing in opera, musical theatre or other genres. Course time will focus on musical ensembles: solos, duet, trios, etc. as well as audition techniques. Students will get instruction in proper vocal technique, stage deportment and interpretation. Students must audition and be accepted in order to enroll in the course. For more information, contact Kathryn Evans at [email protected]

Course Requirements/Evaluation Criteria:

This course requires regular attendance.

Concert Attendance: Students will also be required to attend 2 concerts during the semester, either at UTD or in the Dallas metroplex area. In addition to free concerts here at UTD, we also will have free or low-cost tickets to Dallas Opera, Dallas Symphony, etc. available through the Student Center. You must write a two-page review of the concert to get credit for attendance. All concerts must be approved in advance by the instructor.
