Fall 2016 - Undergraduate Course Descriptions
Description of Course:
Exploration of dramatic texts and/or ideas of performance for the Fall Production of Avenue Q.
This course is for people who are acting, producing or managing a production. The time will be reserved for rehearsals, script analysis, concept design and general studies. Additional rehearsals, outside of the assigned class time, will be necessary to produce the show. This course provides practical use of theatrical studies. May be repeated for credit as topics vary (9 hours maximum).
Emphasis will be on refining skills and knowledge in any one or combination of the following areas: acting, dramaturgy, stage management, directing, set and scenery, properties, lighting, box office, house management, make-up, publicity, sound, or costume.
Those working in the acting area must audition and be cast.
Script and supplementary materials will be distributed to students at the first class meeting.
Course Requirements/Evaluation Criteria:
Permission of Instructor for both actors and crew.
