Introductory Creative Writing

Description of Course:

In this introductory creative writing course, students will be engaging with poetry and creative non-fiction. We will observe and discuss a range of literary techniques among contemporary US American examples, coming to an understanding of the landscape of this recent creative writing and moving to practice and produce many of its forms and techniques. Students will have the opportunity to workshop their writing, and will revise pieces they generate during the semester for a final portfolio.
