Interpersonal Communication

Description of Course:

Why study interpersonal communication? One answer is it's a major part of everyday life. As much as you need to understand math or science, you should understand how people communicate with each other face to face or online. This course will explore the dynamics of interpersonal communication, which can be defined as communication between two people.

During this course, we will examine the perception of the self and others. We will also look at verbal, nonverbal, emotional, and conversational messages. We will examine how communication shapes relationships with romantic partners, family members, friends, coworkers, or anyone else we interact with.
