Course Title
Holocaust: Perceptions of Past

Description of Course:

This course explores in an interdisciplinary manner the Holocaust and its representation. We will study the ways in which war crimes trials, fictional and documentary films, museums, monuments, and testimonies narrate the Holocaust. We will investigate the role of memory, trauma, and post-memory. Surveying various memorial practices, the course, in particular, investigates material objects of Holocaust memory. Students will contribute to our Thecurioproject.com website.
