Deborah Aschheim: Method of Loci
Saturday, March 10, 2012 – Saturday, April 14, 2012,
12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Season: 2011-12 Deborah Aschheim creates sculptural installations and drawings that reconnect the invisible worlds of memory with the tangible reality of bodies and buildings, a project that has led her to collaborate with musicians and neuroscientists. Method of Loci (the term refers to a mnemonic system that relies on our ability to remember spaces) will feature a major sound sculpture created in collaboration with musician/composer Lisa Mezzacappa, as well as new works based out on Aschheim's unrequited relationship with architecture.
