Authors on Asia: Kendall H. Brown.  Quiet Beauty: The Japanese Gardens of North America   Kendall H. Brown will discuss and show images from his new book, Quiet Beauty: The Japanese Gardens of North America. Japanese gardens have been part of North American culture for almost 150 years. In his new book, Brown offers an intimate look at twenty-six of the most beautiful gardens with stunning color photographs of each, and explores the ingenuity and range of Japanese landscaping.
