This exhibition is about the juxtaposition of encyclopedic literature with ordinary objects to interrogate the nature of classification and the conventions of the book as a vehicle of information.

Briana Hall is a local artistic photographer obtaining her Bachelors of Art and Performance at the University of Texas at Dallas. A self-admitted bibliophile, Briana combines her love of photography with her love of books. She has fallen in the path of other artists in the genre of Bookworks, a group of works that involve the manipulation of books. Briana is known to create works that examine the dynamic relationship between image and text by pairing altered books with photographic images to illustrate selective text. By doing so, she hopes to inspire the viewer to determine their own relationship and to create their own interpretation of the work.
