It’s a chance to learn Chinese culture in artistic characters and see what UT Dallas students have learned in their calligraphy classes.

Do you want to sing Chinese songs like a star? Come to Chinese Karaoke - a special singing party for all Chinese learners and music lovers.
Wednesday, Nov. 19, 7:30 pm, Jonsson Performance Hall
Dr. Mingdong Gu, a long-time Zen/Chan practitioner and a scholar of comparative thought at UT Dallas, will discuss the time-honed Chan practices which have led to enlightenment in history and shed new light on the mystery of Chan enlightenment.
Thursday, Nov. 20, 7:30 – 9 pm, Jonsson Performance Hall
Dr. Mingdong Gu, who has received direct instruction from Grandmaster Fu Weizhong, the13th Lineage Holder of The Chinese Omei Linji School of Health, Healing, And Enlightenment, will offer a Zen meditation and fitness exercise workshop.

This old Chinese story is a new fantasy movie directed by Cheang Pou-soi, starring Donnie Yen, Chow Yun-Fat and other big stars from Hong Kong.
