Sadi Mohammad is one of the most well known Rabindra Sangeet artists of Bangladesh. He has been active in playback singing for movies and dramas. Sadi Mohammad is also a renowned performer of popular songs of yester years. He has 48 audio CDs of Rabindra Sangeet and 'Harano Diner Gaan' to his credit. He is a regular artist of the Bangladesh Radio, TV and Tara TV of West Bengal, India. Sadi has performed in many countries including India, England, Germany, France, Australia, Canada, North America and many more. He successfully completed Bachelor's and Masters Degrees in Rabindra Sangeet from the Visva Bharati, Shantiniketan, India.


Besides being an accomplished singer, Sadi Mohammad has been a dedicated teacher of Raindra Sanger. He is the Head of the Raindra Sangeet Department of the Government Music College and the Director of 'Rabiraag', a cultural organization that has been regularly presenting musical soirees and dance dramas of Rabindra Nath Tagore on stage, television and radio since 1987. Tagore singer Sadi Mohammad was awarded 'Tagore song critic award'.


(Rowsha Ara ) Shoma, as she is so widely known, learned music from her father  and other usthad in Chayanat, Nazrul Academy and Nazrul Institute in Nazrul shangeet, classical, modern and folks. Besides being an accomplished singer, she is now a teacher of Nazrul Saggeet at the Nazrul Institute, Dhaka Bangladesh. She is a regular artist of the Bangladesh Radio and TV. Shoma has also performed in London, Cambridge, Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal, Rangoon, Colobo, Kolkata, Churulia, Doha, Ankara and other places abroad. Rowsha Ara Shoma, an worthy daughter of Late Music Maestro Sohrab Hossain, successfully completed her Bachelor's and Masters Degrees  from University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Rawshan Ara Shoma released four musical albums in Nazrul shangeet, modern and Islamic songs.

To get to the Jonsson Performance Hall:

  • From Synergy Park Blvd, turn south onto Rutford Avenue
  • Continue to 4-way stop, then turn left onto Loop Road
  • Parking Structure 3 is immediately on your right
  • Enter Parking Structure 3 via north entrance
  • Park only were designated by parking permit or make payment at the central meter for metered parking
  • Please exit the garage on the south side and use the walking path (Drive D) to head east to the Erik Jonsson Academic Center.
  • Enter Jonsson Academic Center and walk down the hallway to the elevator.
  • Take the elevator to “M” (the mezzanine level) and you will be in front of the Jonsson Performance Hall.
  • There will be signs and volunteers leading you to the Jonsson Performance Hall.
