Venue: Jonsson Performance Hall
Admission: Free
Season: 2015-16

Cosponsored by Meteor Theater, each evening features a different independent film followed by a short question and answer session with members of the film industry.

Girl, Interrupted is an adaptation of Susanna Kaysen's 1993 memoir of the same name. The film chronicles Susanna's 18-month stay at a mental institution in the 1960s.

Susanna Kaysen rebels against the head nurse and top psychiatrist of a mental institution after being questionably diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. During her stay, Susanna befriends the resident "loonies," a group of troubled women, including a charismatic sociopath named Lisa. Susanna quickly learns if she wants her freedom, she'll have to face the person who terrifies her most of all: herself. Directed by James Mangold, Girl, Interrupted stars Winona Ryder as Susanna Kaysen with a supporting cast that includes Angelina Jolie, Brittany Murphy, Whoopi Goldberg, and Jared Leto.
