Cinematheque: The Rise and Rise of Bitcoin

Cosponsored by Meteor Theater, each evening features a different independent film followed by a short question and answer session with members of the film industry.

This documentary takes viewers on a journey through the rapidly growing world of Bitcoin. The social and political impacts of an open-source digital currency are examined.

Daniel Mross, a 35 year old computer programmer from Pittsburgh, lives a busy life balancing work, his marriage, and raising three boys. After discovering Bitcoin in 2011, he becomes fascinated with the digital currency, which reveals an uncharted world of new possibilities for him to explore. Will the rise of Bitcoin result in a monetary paradigm shift that will forever change the world?
