Enric Madriguera, Russell Cleveland Professor in Guitar Studies, UT Dallas

The first Confucius Salon: Forum on Chinese Culture presents Professor Enric Madriguera, Director of Guitar Studies in the School of Arts and Humanities at UT Dallas. He took a lecture trip to China in 2016 and performed in various Chinese cities. He will talk about his personal experiences and impressions of Chinese society, and his lectures and performance in two Chinese cities, Nanjing and Wuhan. He will show a series of slides of his trip which documents people’s reactions to his guitar performance, and give an on-the-spot guitar demonstration, playing several numbers from his Chinese tour.

Food and Tea Are Served for All Sessions.
