Haji Noor Deen is a world renowned calligrapher whose works have been exhibited throughout the world. Deen's skill has been recognized by the world's highest authorities in modern Arabic calligraphy, and is now called Hoca (hoja) in recognition of his expertise. His work also speaks to the underrepresented history of Islamic arts in China.
