Roundtable Discussion with Nancy Naomi Carlson, Poet and Translator

UT Dallas professors Julia Leverone and Nomi Stone will lead a comparative discussion with the author about Carlson's translations of René Char and poems from her most recent collection, An Infusion of Violets.

Nancy Naomi Carlson is a decorated translator from the French, a poet, and a school counseling specialist. She has six books of translations, two chapbooks of poetry, and two full-length books of poetry. She is a senior translation editor for Tupelo Quarterly and has earned an NEA literature translation fellowship. Carlson’s An Infusion of Violets, her second book of poems, was published in 2019 and was featured among The New York Times Book Review’s "New & Noteworthy.”
