March 2: Adam Holzman Jonsson Performance Hall, 8:00 p.m., free Founder of the UT Austin Guitar Department, Holzman is a nationally-recognized concert performer and recording artist who has performed across the U.S., Europe and Latin America. March 3: Pre-Concert: UTD Radiant Ensemble University Theatre, 7:15 p.m. Directed by James Wilder. International Concert Guitar Competition Finals University Theatre, 8:00 p.m., free This unique competition, designed to showcase outstanding classical guitar students, will award cash prizes to the winners. March 4 Morning: Youth Competition Participants from 11 to 18 years old compete. This competition is open for viewing by family and teachers only. March 4 Afternoon/Evening: Guitar Maker Stephan Connor Jonsson Performance Hall, 4:00 p.m., free One of the premier builders of classical guitars in the United States, Stephan Connor guitars are played by many celebrated musicians including Eliot Fisk, Zaira Meneses and Angel Romero. He will give a video presentation on his process. Pre-Concert: Garland High School Guitar ensemble University Theatre, 7:15 p.m. Directed by Steve Howell. Eliot Fisk Concert University Theatre, 8:00 PM, $25 UTD students, staff and faculty get in free with their Comet Card. Eliot Fisk is currently director of guitar studies at the New England Conservatory and artistic director for the annual Boston Guitar Fest. He will perform part of his program on a Stephan Connor guitar donated to the Guitar Studies program by Russell Cleveland.
