A&H Teach-In: Taking a Collective Breath

Join UTD leaders for a conversation on the impacts of academic trauma and stress in the classroom.

The discussion will include strategies on how to better cope with stress, become trauma-resilient, and on how to center trauma informed practices in your work. The program will include a short poetry workshop led by A&H professor Nomi Stone, focusing on the catharsis of the breath: participants will write single sentence poems within one exhale. These short poems will be transformed into sonic art via the "One Breath Poem" project, with an ATEC laboratory that works on synthetic electronic poetry, LabSynthE.
