I am professor of German at UT Dallas. My specialties range from beginner to advanced levels. I've been fascinated with German culture and language since I was 10 years old and I am delighted to pass my knowledge and skills onto those who are interested in the language.

One of my main research focuses is in tracing language patterns that evolve from simple to more complex and advanced language structures.

I encourage my students to overcome fear of language barriers starting from the first class meeting. I like combining different teaching styles into language learning, including visual, auditory, reflective, independent, learning by associations, etc. My ultimate goal is for students to be able to see the big picture and form conversations in German on the spot.

Before joining the University of Texas at Dallas, I worked as a German online and onsite instructor at Brookhaven and Collin Community Colleges.
