Important Deadlines

Deadlines for Proposals, Defenses, and Final Submissions

All proposals should be submitted to your individual committee members for their approval at least one week before the submission deadline. Otherwise, you cannot expect faculty members to read and approve drafts in time to meet deadlines.

All proposals must be submitted as an email attachment sent to sent to alice.salazar1@utdallas.edu . All signature pages must be submitted in hard copy.

 

Summer 2014 ----------------------------------------------

May 21

Proposals for Portfolios, Theses, Casebooks, and Dissertations due in the A & H Office (for GSC consideration on 4 June).  (This is the last date for proposals from students expecting to graduate in the Summer and later semesters. Students must be enrolled for the Summer or Fall semester in order to submit a proposal.)

June 2

Last day for submission of final draft of dissertations to all members of the supervising committee. Doctoral students who do not meet this deadline will not graduate this semester.

June 9

Applications for Graduation due in the Office of Records and Admissions

June 19

Last day to request oral defense of dissertations (with the Office of the Graduate Dean – by 12pm noon), as well as theses, portfolios and casebooks (with the Graduate Coordinator in JO 4.510)

July 3

Last day to hold oral defense of dissertations, theses, portfolios, and casebooks

July 18

Last day for final submissions of dissertations to Office of the Graduate Dean – by 12pm noon

July 25

Last day for final submissions of theses (to the Office of the Graduate Dean – by 12pm noon) and portfolios or casebooks (to the A & H Office)

August 15

Doctoral Hooding Ceremony
