Gavin R. G. Hambly Scholarship
The Gavin Hambly Scholarship is a university-recognized annual scholarship awarded to one or more deserving undergraduate students, majoring in History. The $500 scholarship honors the memory of Professor Gavin Hambly, who was a renowned historian of the Middle East and Mughal India and a beloved professor of History in the School of Arts and Humanities.
Only History majors with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible. Eligible applicants should submit a 300-word statement explaining the ways that history courses at UT Dallas have shaped how they understand themselves and the world around them. In addition, applicants should also supply a copy of their current transcript. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is October 16, 2020.
