Bangladeshi Community Scholarship

The Texas Instruments Bangladeshi Diversity Initiative (An Employee Resource Group) is establishing the Bangladeshi Community Scholarship, a permanent endowment at UT Dallas. This endowment will provide scholarships of at least $1,000 to undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants will have at least a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and have at least two semesters remaining prior to graduation. Among equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to applicants who have received all or part of his/her preparatory education in Bangladesh, are active in the Bangladeshi Student Organization or have demonstrated a connection or interest in Bangladesh. Applicants who have received other UT Dallas scholarships/fellowships will not be eligible for the Bangladeshi Community Scholarship.  https://giving.utdallas.edu/bcs

Silk Threads Scholarship

Raj and Ruby Bhandari are establishing the Silk Threads Scholarship, a permanent endowment at UT Dallas. This endowment will provide scholarships of at least $1,000 to undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants will have at least a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and have at least two semesters remaining prior to graduation. Among equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to applicants who have received all or part of his/her preparatory education in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal or Bangladesh, are active in the Indian Student Organization or the UT Dallas Fashion Club, or have demonstrated a connection in India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal or Bangladesh. Applicants who have received other UT Dallas scholarships/fellowships will not be eligible for the Silk Threads Scholarship.  https://giving.utdallas.edu/AsiaCenter
