Transportation to UT Dallas

Shuttles and Taxis

One option is to take a Taxi, convenient but pricey, probably $55-65. Uber, Lyft, etc tend to be a little more than half that cost.

Or one can take one of the following shared-ride shuttle services:

If you plan to take a shuttle, taxi, or to rent a car, we suggest arranging shared rides via the Conference Wiki. (Only visible to registered conference attendees.)

Public Transit

Dallas is served by both DFW and Dallas-Love Field airport, both of which have easy access to Dallas-Forth Worth’s public transport system, DART. The DART system will be the most economical means of travel (about $5 to get from the airport to your destination).

  • DFW TO UT DALLAS: Head to the DART station at Terminal A via Skylink train (behind security) or Terminal Link shuttle (outside security). Board the Orange Line to Parker Road Station / LBJ/Central Station. During peak hours, you can take the train to the Bush Turnpike Station. During off-peak, you will have to transfer to the Red Line at LBJ/Central Station or before (Google Maps suggests West End Station). At Bush Turnpike, board Bus 883. This bus will take you directly to campus. (approximate travel time: 2 hours 15 minutes)
  • DFW TO DOUBLETREE HOTEL: Head to the DART station at Terminal A via Skylink train (behind security) or Terminal Link shuttle (outside security). Board the Orange Line to Parker Road Station / LBJ/Central Station. During off-peak, you will have to transfer to the Red Line at LBJ/Central Station or before (Google Maps suggests West End Station). Exit the train at Galatyn Park Station. Walk South on Central Trail (walking trail parallel to train tracks) for about 15 minutes (0.8 mi) and turn right at Campbell Rd., crossing under Highway 75. The hotel will be behind the Starbucks on the Southwest corner of the intersection of Campbell and North Central Expressway. (approximate travel time: 1 hours 50 minutes)
    • Alternate route with less walking (applicable Thursday and Friday): Head to the DART station at Terminal A via Skylink train (behind security) or Terminal Link shuttle (outside security). Board the Orange Line to Parker Road Station / LBJ/Central Station. Exit the train at the Arapaho Center Station. Board the 362 bus towards Addison Transit Center. Get of the bus at Collins/Municipal, and head east on Municipal towards the DoubleTree, which will be on your left. (approximate travel time: 2 hours)
