Dr. Rosanna Guadagno, Associate Professor in Emerging Media and Communication and in Psychology, served as a Program Director at the National Science Foundation (NSF) from 2012 to 2014. Her appointment was primarily in the Social Psychology Program but she also served as a Program Director in both the Science of Learning Centers (SLC) and in the Secure and Trustworthy Cyberspace (SaTC) Programs.
During her time at NSF, Dr. Guadagno read hundreds of grant proposals, recruited and trained panelists and reviewers, discussed funding options or funding decisions with prospective principal investigators (PIs), and managed annual program budgets that ranged from $400,000 to $27 million. This experience afforded her with a “bird’s eye view” of the funding process and a good feel for up and coming research in several fields related to her own research expertise.
Come and benefit from her experience as she shares tips and information on the Grant process from the perspective of an insider.
Lunch will be provided and registration is required. Register at: https://www.utdallas.edu/research/re/classes.
