Spring Veteran Cord Ceremony
Monday, May. 9, 2016
7 p.m. - 8 p.m. Location: McDermott Suite, MC 4.404

UT Dallas acknowledges the contributions made by the members of our armed services.

Students graduating from UT Dallas who serve or have served in the U.S. military, or who will be commissioned through R.O.T.C., are invited to wear a special red, white & blue honor cord at fall and spring commencements.  If you are graduating this May, you and your guests are invited to attend a special ceremony to honor your military service and recognize your academic achievement.

RSVP is required at https://utdallas.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_baoqbI8SeUxQZqR

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for hors d'oeuvres.  Ceremony at 7:00 p.m.

The VSC will verify proof of military service. Veterans that are receiving federal benefits (GI Bill) or state benefits (Hazlewood) already have this information on file with UT Dallas. Other veterans must present to the VSC one of the following: military ID or DD-214. R.O.T.C. students will be verified by their units at UTA or UNT.

Cords will be available at the Veteran Services Center the week of May 9th for graduating student veterans who are unable to attend the ceremony.
