“Why can’t we just all get along?”
That mantra seems simple enough and everyone should be able to get it? Right? Unfortunately, the work world like all other gatherings of people is made up of all kinds. People who are genuinely kind, encouraging, and just plain nice. Others are overbearing, pushy, and downright mean. Most of us fall somewhere in the middle or in a category where we really don’t know how others see us. Dignity and Respect in the workplace –Dealing with Difficult People will give us an opportunity to take a hard look at ourselves and how others might see us and then discuss strategies in creating healthy communication and interactions that promote the best in all of us.
Our objectives are:
Personal strategies for assisting in the ongoing development of a culture of dignity and respect
- Communication Patterns that I Bring to the Workplace.
- Creating Positive Environments of Respect When Aggression Rules
- Self-Improvement - Building an Action Plan for Self Management.
Presented by Terry Cartwright of Human Resources as part of Graduate Professional Week.
Refreshments will be served.
No RSVP required.
