Fellowships/Grants: Making the case for your research
Wednesday, Sep. 19
2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Location: FA 2.206

Presenting your research's background, goals, and objectives in a fellowship or grant application can be a balancing act as you discuss the merits of your projects for an audience who may not be familiar with your field. During this presentation, graduate students and postdocs will

  • see examples of other's research backgrounds
  • get an outline which can be easily updated for any grant opportunity
  • practice making the case for their research

While this presentation is designed to help students and postdocs pursuing any funding opportunity, examples will be taken from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health and Fulbright.
