This session will cover the basics of U.S. Copyright law for researchers working on their dissertation or thesis. Here, you will gain a foundational understanding of the principles of authorship, ownership, duration, exclusivity, and infringement. We will also discuss the four factors in determining Fair Use, instructor/teacher exemptions, and provide information on negotiating publishing contracts.
