Networking is an important part of professional life, whether you’re looking for a job, enhancing your professional impact, or mentoring others. Growing your network requires a concerted effort to be open to new connections and willing to foster them. In this workshop, graduate students and postdoctoral scholars will learn concrete strategies for meeting new people in your field/industry, the value you can provide others through networking, and provide an opportunity to practices composing an “elevator pitch,” a 30-45 second introduction to you and your value.
