National Academies Nuclear Non-Proliferation Program and National Academy of Engineering Grand Challenges for Engineering Public Talk

Dr. Romig will discuss the implications for global stability discovered through thousands of studies on a wide range of topics, including nuclear weapons and proliferation. The Academies’ reports have considered the feasibility of a uranium or “element 94” fission weapon, competition with the Soviet Union and nuclear weapons, deterrence, and arms control.  Dr. Romig will also discuss Global Grand Challenges, identifying the goals that make it possible for people around the world to thrive.

Registration is required and seating is limited.
