SUAAB Open Mic Night featuring Carlos Robson

Open mic sign-ups will be available before the event at the entrance (in The Pub) with two session options: 7:30 pm or 8:10 pm. Open mic acts cannot exceed five minutes. Hope to see you there!

Carlos Robson is a spoken word poet, playwright, and teaching artist. Twice-nominated for APCA Spoken Word Artist of the Year, Carlos has performed at over 150 colleges and universities. As a competitive “slam” poet, he has competed in local, regional, national and international competitions, and has twice won the National Poetry Slam championship as a member of the North Carolina-based team, SlamCharlotte. He has performed in all corners of the nation, on Broadway, and internationally, and is a co-founder of the Charlotte-based artist collective the Concrete Generation. Carlos is also the official spoken word artist of the Dwayne Wade Foundation and has appeared on TV1’s Verses and Flow.
