Overview
Dr. Qing Gu joined the Electrical Engineering department at UT Dallas in January 2016, after a postdoc appointment in the Ultrafast & Nanoscale Optics Group at University of California, San Diego. Prof. Gu’s research interests include the design, fabrication and characterization of nano- and micro- scale semiconductor devices (such as lasers, waveguides and sensors), quantum behavior analysis in nanostructures, and integrated photonic circuits.
She is authoring a book “Semiconductor Nanolasers” by Cambridge University Press (to be published in 2016). She is a reviewer for a number of journals including ACS Photonics, Nanophotonics, Laser & Photonics Reviews, Optics Express, IEEE JQE, IEEE JLT and IEEE Photonics Journal.
