UT Dallas Contributes Through the SECC

The Texas Legislature established the State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) in 1993. The SECC helps employees of state agencies, universities and community colleges support charities of their choice through an annual campaign featuring convenient payroll deduction.

Each year, UT Dallas joins forces with other institutions through the State Employee Charitable Campaign, to raise funds for a number of local, national and international nonprofit organizations.

During the 2018 campaign, University faculty and staff opened their hearts to contribute more than $72,000 to the cause.

Historically, two University programs are popular recipients for UT Dallas donors.  Last year 75 individuals contributed more than $12,000 to the Callier Center for Communication Disorders and more than $18,000 to the Academic Bridge Program.

Thiry-seven leadership gifts – contributions of $1,000 or more – totaling more than $49,000 helped propel the campaign to more than $72,000 total. Last year, employees of Texas state agencies and higher education institutions contributed more than $7 million.
