Days Before 1st Meeting through the first few meetings

First General Meeting

  • Days Before 1st Meeting through the first few meetings

  • 90 - 120 Days

    • At Least 2 Employees agree to start a new ERG.
  • 60 - 90 Days

    • ERG organizers inform ERG Coordinators of interest in forming a new ERG.
  • 30 - 60 Days

    • Complete ERG Application.
    • Create mission statement and charter..
    • Submit Application & Charter for approval.
    • Identify an Executive Sponsor.
    • Define membership criteria.
  • 15 - 30 Days

    • Set Goals for first 12-18 mos..
    • Determine leadership team.
    • Identify measures of success.
    • Consider a budget.
  • First General Meeting

  • First General Meeting!

    • Draft ideas for programs/events.
    • Decide on when to have meetings.
    • Solicit names for the group.
    • Get feedback on the mission statement & charter.
  • Within First Few Meetings

    • Finalize frequency of meetings.
    • Identify communications practices.
    • Set roles for members.
    • Finalize ERG Goals.
    • Finalize upcoming programming.
