Office of Human Resources Update

Dear Colleagues:

It is with deep regret that I inform you that Dr. Julie Nuter has resigned her position as UT Dallas’ chief human resources officer. Julie’s father became unexpectedly ill shortly before she started at UT Dallas in January. As a result, she has now made the difficult decision to resign to focus on her family. I know we are all thankful to Julie for being a part of the Comet community, and I know that we all wish her the best for the future.

I am grateful to Marco Mendoza, assistant vice president for institutional compliance, who, effective immediately, has agreed to serve as our interim chief human resources officer. Before leading our institutional compliance function, Marco served as the director of employee relations and organizational development in our Office of Human Resources. While serving as interim chief human resources officer, Marco will continue to lead the Office of Institutional Compliance.

I want to assure you that our human resources team will continue to serve our campus with their usual excellence as we navigate this change. Thank you all for your patience and support during this transition.
