What is your favorite local restaurant?

For some great fajitas and queso, you’ve got to check out La Hacienda Ranch!

How did your college experience help shape who you are?

College is the perfect environment to figure out who you truly are and work towards the person you want to be. So much growth occurs with moving away from home, being on your own for the first time and taking on the new responsibilities that come with being a college student. The transition to college can be more difficult than you might expect. Because I attended a university where I knew very few people, I had to learn how to make new friends and learn how to make a new home out of my new location. My college experience helped me to break out of my shell by providing me with so many opportunities to get out of my comfort zone.

What advice do you have for students beginning their college search?

My advice is to stay open-minded to different universities. Take it from a girl who experienced this first-hand: You may have your heart set on attending the school you grew up cheering for and then step onto another college campus and fall completely in love.
