Admissions Information Related to COVID-19

In an effort to support social distancing in response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Office of Admission and Enrollment has moved virtually. While our campus may be closed, our undergraduate admission counselors and staff are ready to help you.

Admission Timeline

At UT Dallas, applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis up until the application deadline, which you can find on the application process page. Details about the admission timeline are listed below:

  • Application is submitted through ApplyTexas
    • Once an application is received, an email will be sent to the address listed with your unique 10-digit UTD-ID and information on how to check your status online. You can check your application status, along with the status of outstanding admissions materials, through your Galaxy Applicant Center.
  • Complete Application
    • Your application will be considered complete once your official high school transcript is received along with official SAT scores, official ACT scores or the Applying without Scores form. Supplemental documents, such as the optional essay, letters of recommendation and resume, can also be submitted along with the required documents to be considered for admissions purposes.
  • Application Review
    • The entire complete application file is reviewed for an admissions decision to be made. Read more about our admission requirements for incoming freshmen.
  • Admissions Decision
    • Your application status will first be updated online in your Galaxy Applicant Center and an admissions decision letter will follow soon afterwards.
    • Review the steps after admission.
