The Center for Global Collective Action, University of Texas at Dallas, sponsored its fourth academic conference on terrorism and policy in May 2011 that brought together senior and junior scholars who are doing significant research on terrorism.  The conference included participants from previous conferences along with new participants.  The intent of the conferences is to establish linkages among the significant contributors to the study of terrorism and policy.  The interdisciplinary orientation is an essential feature.

Some of the best papers presented at the 2010 conference have been refereed for inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of Peace Research (May 2011).  Previous conferences resulted in special issues of Economics & Politics (November 2009) and Journal of Conflict Resolution (April 2010).  The best papers from the 2011 conference will be included in a refereed issue of Public Choice.

This year's conference was held on May 18-20, 2011 at the University of Texas at Dallas.
