What You Need to Make Your Request

  1. To make a Work Request, you’ll need to know:
    • Your NetID and Password.
    • A contact for your request, including that contact’s email address, phone number, and an alternate phone number. You can be the contact.
  2. If your request is for anything other than an Estimate/Quote or a Surplus Move with no requested date, you’ll also need to know:
    • The eight-digit Cost Center that will be charged for your request. Your department’s cost centers can be found in the PeopleSoft Account Reconciliation tool.
    • The UTD email address of the Signature Authority who will be reviewing and either approving or rejecting your request. If your department allows for it, you can be that authority.
  3. If your request is for Move Support or a Special Event, you’ll also need to provide the name and email address of an alternate contact —someone other than you.

 

How Requests Work

  • This tool is only meant for use by faculty and staff members. If connecting from off-campus, you should use the University’s VPN.
  • Please submit requests at least one day before you need any work done.
  • You will have the opportunity to review and change your request before submitting it.
  • Just before submitting your request, you’ll have the option to include supporting documents. We can accept the following file formats: TXT [Text File] , DOC [Microsoft Word Document] , DOCX [Office Open XML Document] , PDF [Portable Document Format File] , PPT [Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation] , PPSX [Office Open XML Slideshow] , PPTX [Office Open XML Presentation] , XLS [Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet] XLSX [Office Open XML Workbook] .
  • After you submit your request, it will be recorded, and —

    • If your request requires a Signature Authority, an email message will be sent to that person, asking for a review of your request.
    • If your request does not require a Signature Authority, an email message will be sent directly to Facilities Management.

    You will be sent a copy of that email message.
