Korean and Korean American Student Scholarship

Description:

The UT Dallas Korean or Korean American Student Scholarship is a need based scholarship for undergraduate and graduate students. Preference will be given to students with a higher GPA (does not apply to students in the first semester). Among equally qualified applicants, additional preference may be given to applicants who have lived in, matriculated from, or are dependents of individuals from Korea, or have some other connection to Korea through their family or work. A minimum award of $500 per year may be given and cannot be combined with any other forms of financial aid. This scholarship will be awarded on a competitive basis by a committee duly appointed by the president of UT Dallas.

Applicant must:
  1. Submit a one-page narrative with a brief history of your life, your education, work experience, or family connection to Korea, and how this scholarship will add to your educational and career goals.
  2. Submit a resume.
  3. Submit one letter of recommendation.
  4. Demonstrate financial need by having a current FAFSA or TASFA on file in the Office of Financial Aid or completing a Financial Statement for UTD Scholarships.
Complete application must be received by 5:00 p.m. on the posted deadline.
