Description:

The Society of Iranian-American Women for Education (SIAWE) Scholarship is available to undergraduate and graduate students. Undergraduate students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Graduate students must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA. Applicant must demonstrate need and have a signed degree plan on file with theirdepartment. Among equally qualified applicants, a preference may be given to applicants who have lived in, matriculated from, or are dependents of individuals from Iran or have some other connection to Iran through their family or work. The recipient is encouraged to volunteer with the Iranian Student Organization. A minimum award of $1,000 per year may be given and cannot be combined with any other forms of financial aid. This scholarship will be awarded on a competitive basis by a committee duly appointed by the president of UT Dallas.

  2. Demonstrate financial need by having a current FAFSA or TASFA on file in the Office of Financial Aid or completing a Financial Statement for UTD Scholarships.
