Terry Pankratz | Vice President for Budget and Finance
Terry holds a B.B.A. in Accounting, MBA and is a CPA. Before joining UTD he served in various executive leadership roles at Texas A&M University (College Station), Texas A&M University-Commerce and the University of North Texas System. Terry has more than 25 years of experience in higher education administration and he provides financial counsel to the President and other Administrators and executive leadership and management oversight to the departments reporting through the Office of Budget and Finance.
Kimberly Laird | Associate Vice President and Controller
Kimberly (“Kim”) holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting Emphasis), an MBA (Strategic Leadership), an Ed.D. (Higher Education Leadership), and is a CPA. She joined UT Dallas from Texas A&M University-Commerce where she served as the Comptroller and Director of Accounting. With over 25 years financial management, data integration, analysis, and reporting experience, Kim provides leadership and support to Student Financial Services, Payroll, Accounting and Financial Reporting, Financial Management Services, and Business Intelligence.
Pete Bond | Assistant Vice President for Procurement
Pete holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics and is a CPM and CPCP. He has been with UT Dallas for 27 years and has more than 35 years of experience in procurement and operations management. Prior to current position, he served as Director of Purchasing at the Office of Budget and Finance. Pete provides leadership to Procurement Management which consists of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Travel Services, HUB Program and One Card Program.
Greg Argueta | Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting
Greg holds a BBA in Finance and an MBA with dual focus in Finance and Accounting. He has been with UT Dallas for over seven years and served in various roles including Asset Management and Project Costing Team Lead during the University’s implementation of PeopleSoft. In the five years following UTD’s implementation, Greg has been a presenter at national and regional conferences for users of PeopleSoft in higher education. He provides leadership to the Financial Reporting, Accounting, Sponsored Programs and Fixed Asset teams.
Reda Bernoussi | Associate Controller
Reda holds a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, an MBA, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on business performance and enterprise resource planning systems. He has been with UTD for over 14 years and has over 16 years of accounting, financial reporting and banking experience. Prior to his current position, Reda served as a PeopleSoft Implementation Financials Team Lead and Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting at the Office of Budget and Finance. He provides leadership to business process support, financial system administration, financial and tax compliance, and treasury functions.
Adam Cantwell | Director of Payroll and Data Administration
Adam holds a B.B.A. in Finance, MBA and is a CPP. He joined UT Dallas from UNT System as an Assistant Director of Payroll and has 21 years of experience in Payroll, of which 4 years are in higher education. Adam provides leadership to payroll processing and data management department.
Cheryl Friesenhahn | Director of Student Financial Services
Cheryl holds a B.S. in Accounting. She has been with UT Dallas for 18 years and has over 30 years of accounting experience. She also served as the PeopleSoft Implementation Lead for Student Financials. Prior to her current position, Cheryl served as an Assistant Director of Accounting at the Office of Budget and Finance. Cheryl provides leadership to the Cashier Office, Collections, Receivables, and Financial Reporting as it relates to student financials.
Nate Howe | Director of Information Security and Chief Information Security Officer
Nate holds a B.S. in Business Administration with concentration in MIS, MBA, and holds certifications such as CISSP, CISA, and SANS GIAC. Prior to joining UT Dallas he served Western Federal Credit Union as VP of Risk Management. He has more than a decade of experience in IT governance and operations with a focus on information security. Nate leads all aspects of the UT Dallas information security program and his team is structured around five service areas: Awareness & Outreach; Governance, Risk & Compliance; Vulnerability Management; Engineering & Incident Response; Identity Management.
Andre Josiah | Director of the Accounting Resource Center
Andre holds a B.B.A in Accounting. He recently joined UT Dallas from Texas A&M University at Qatar where he served as the Director of Finance, Budget and Compliance. He has almost 18 years of experience in Higher Ed Business Operations, with a focus on international activities. Andre has been successful in forming and leading high performing teams. He will lead our policy review and approval process as well as the centralized contract management and administration process, and work closely with departmental financial representatives to improve communication, establish effective business practices and sound internal controls.
Jennifer Mayes | Financial Compliance Manager
Jennifer holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and is a CIA and CFE. She has been with UT Dallas for over 11 years. She has 19 years of experience, of which 12 years are in higher education. Prior to her current position, Jennifer served as an Audit Manager in the Internal Audit Department at UT Dallas. Jennifer provides leadership to the campus regarding financial compliance.
Gina Niemann | Director of Procurement/Accounts Payable
Gina holds a B.S. in Accounting and certifications as a CIA, CAPP and APM. She has worked at UT Dallas for 18 years and has 30 years of accounting experience. Prior to current position, Gina served as Senior Auditor in Internal Audit Department at UT Dallas. Gina provides leadership to the accounts payable process including employee travel and expense reimbursements, independent contractor payments and 1099 reporting.
Debbie Reynolds | Executive Director for Procurement
Debbie holds a B.B.A. in Accounting and is a Certified Texas Purchasing Manager (CTPM). She has more than 35 years of experience in procurement management (8 of those in higher education), budgeting, finance, and operations management. Prior to joining UT Dallas, she served as Executive Director of Procurement at the University of North Texas System. Debbie joins Pete Bond in providing leadership to the Procurement Management operation consisting of Purchasing, Accounts Payable, Travel Services, HUB Program and One Card Program.
Orkun Toros | Director of Operations
Orkun holds a B.S. in Mathematics, MBA, with concentrations in computer science and accounting, and holds PMP and CSM certifications. He has 10 years of experience in business operations, project management and financial analysis. Prior to his current position, Orkun served as a Sr. Financial Analyst at the Office of Budget and Finance. Orkun provides leadership to business operations, project management, training and continuous improvement functions in the Office of Budget and Finance.
Paul Watson | Director of Procurement/Purchasing
Paul holds a B.S. in Finance and is a CPM and CPIM. He has worked at UT Dallas for 21 years and has 36 years of experience in Procurement. Prior to his current position, he served as Senior Buyer in the Purchasing Department. Paul provides leadership to purchasing, contracting, formal bids, vendor relations and in the HUB (historically underutilized businesses) program.
