Health and Wellness

As a community-focused resource center, the Galerstein Gender Center provides general guidance and resources to encourage the health and wellness of our students, staff, and faculty. Additionally, our staff collaborates with campus departments and community agencies to provide help and referrals for additional support.

Trans Health+

The Gender Center promotes overall health and well-being for students, staff and faculty by advocating for access and affirming health care services for trans communities. Students, staff and faculty who need help navigating health resources on campus can email [email protected] to make an appointment with a member of our staff.

Menstrual Equity+

The Gender Center provides free access to menstrual products on an emergency basis.

Campus Resources+

Student Wellness Center

The Student Wellness Center provides educational programs, resources and individual and group consultations to assist students in adopting responsible behaviors related to various topics. They also have a registered dietician for students with concern for body image, nutrition and eating disorders.

Center for Students in Recovery

The Center for Students in Recovery provides support to students with substance use disorders or addictions, those affected by addiction, or individuals questioning or exploring the impact of potential addictive behavior.

Student Counseling Center

The Student Counseling Center provides counseling services and programs designed to assist students in achieving emotional well-being, and help manage personal demands that may interfere with academic progress. Reasons students may seek help include: sexual assault, anxiety, stress, thoughts of suicide, feelings of low self-esteem, family conflict, etc. The Gender and Sexuality Consultation team also focuses on services for transgender and gender non-conforming students and may be contacted for questions related to letters supporting gender confirmation procedures (e.g. hormone treatment, surgery).

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center provides both primary and preventative health care to currently enrolled students who have paid the medical services fee along with their tuition. Service offerings at the Student Health Center also include birth control and pregnancy counseling.

Human Resources

Human Resources Wellness Program supports the value of individual well-being through education, events, and access to campus facilities and programs. The Wellness Program is open to staff and faculty.
