How to Enroll

The annual benefits enrollment period for UT Dallas will begin July 15 and must be completed before midnight CDT [Central Daylight Time] on July 31, 2015. During this time period, you can:

By July 15, benefits-eligible individuals will begin receiving the Annual Enrollment Coverage Option Letter from the UT System. This letter explains insurance options in detail and gives instructions on enrolling through My UT Benefits. If you haven’t received your letter by Monday, July 21, please send an email message to

After you receive the letter, log into My UT Benefits with your appropriate ID (employees can use the Single Sign On with your NetID and password) and follow the on-screen instructions to make your selections. You will receive an email confirming your changes approximately 24 hours afterward. If you don’t receive the confirmation email or have questions, please contact the Employee Benefits Team ( / 972.883.2221).

Important Notices
  • Same sex spouses, as well as dependent children of these spouses, are considered benefits-eligible effective July 1, 2015. Employees may enroll by July 31, 2015 with an effective date of July 1 or August 1, 2015 or during the Annual Enrollment period from July 15-31, 2015 with an effective date of September 1, 2015. Refer to the online enrollment instructions for more details.
  • In connection with UT System compliance with the affordability provision required under the Affordable Care Act, effective September 1, 2015, employees working 30-39 hours per week (or FTE [Full-Time Equivalent] % of at least .75) will receive 100% premium sharing contribution towards the employee only coverage under the UT Select Medical Plan and 50% premium sharing contribution towards the dependent coverage. The UT Dallas Benefits and Wellness Fair will be held Monday, July 13 in the Student Union Galaxy (SU 2.602) Rooms from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to help benefits-eligible faculty, staff, retirees and surviving dependents learn more about their benefit options before the annual enrollment period begins.
