We provide faculty, staff, and students with the resources and tools that ensure success in complying with the University’s equal opportunity, affirmative action, and nondiscrimination responsibilities including internal policies and procedures and related federal and state equal opportunity laws. We work with partners on campus to foster and support an environment that is inclusive, respectful, and free from discrimination and harassment by:

  • shaping policies and procedures related to equal opportunity and nondiscrimination issues
  • providing expertise about federal and state civil rights laws and regulations
  • assisting, counseling, and collaborating with units in their efforts to recruit and retain diverse faculty, staff, and students
  • conducting investigations into allegations of discrimination and harassment and providing expertise and training to assist units in doing so
  • monitoring the University’s employment efforts and educating the campus about the importance of diversity and inclusion to the UT Dallas workforce
