If you are an international student and a participant of the J-1 program, your home country trusts you to enrich your academic experience by participating in cross-cultural opportunities, thus increasing understanding between the people of your country and the people of the United States.
The UT Dallas International Center leads this mission with a growing number of cross-cultural events that give you the opportunity to learn about U.S. culture, and share your unique perspective, culture, and traditions with Americans and other international students.
To stay updated about upcoming events, join the Facebook group. A full list of events can be found on International Center Events webpage, some cross-cultural events are highlighted below:

International Week (iWeek)
is an annual UT Dallas tradition, taking place early April. It is a celebration of the cultural diversity at UT Dallas. The two signature events, Passport to the World and International Talent Show, allow you to showcase clothing, art, music, and food from your home country.
Meet other J-1 students and International Center staff in an informal setting. Luncheons are held each semester and students are encouraged to bring their family members to this free, fun event.
