ISSO Processing Times for Advising, Email & Tasks
Walk-in and phone advising queues may have long wait times due to high demand. You will be provided with estimated wait times; however please note that these are an estimate and are subject to change. Wait times are subject to change due to the nature and length of each advising session in the queue.
In addition, the advising queue will be closed at 4:45 pm Monday through Thursday to allow us to serve students already in the queue before the 5 pm.
Queues may close before the end of advising hours if they have already reached their maximukm capacity and there are no more places available for that day. When possible, the queue may re-open later that day.
Email Response Time
Emails sent to [email protected] and [email protected] are usually answered within 7-10 business days; however during peak times it will take longer. [email protected] is available for document submissions.
Task Processing Times
The best way to help ISSO complete your request in a timely manner is to submit a complete and correct request. Processing may take up 10-14 business days. Incomplete or incorrect requests will not be processed within regular processing time. Processing times begin after the submission of correct and complete documents.
- Sign your request form by hand. Digital and scanned signatures will not be honored.
- If the request requires additional documents, ie financial affidavit, please submit at the same time as the initial request. If you submit later, the completion of the task will be delayed.
- Answer all required questions in the form.
- If you are submitting your documents by email, do not send files in compressed formats, such as .rar or .zip. Instead, use a PDF, JPEG or DOC format.
If the advisor processing your request needs additional forms or information they will email you. If you do not respond within 5 business days, your task request will be closed and you will need to resubmit a new application if you still wish to move forward with the request.
