Sponsored by the Texas State Historical Association and the General Libraries at The University of Texas at Austin.
Texas Reference Center includes more than 80 full text journals and books about Texas history, ethnic and gender studies, literature, public health, and business as well as sports and leisure in Texas. Collection of online resources about State of Texas provided by University of Texas at Austin.
Provides access to large-scale maps of Texas towns and cities, published by the Sanborn Map Company, the primary American producer of fire insurance maps for nearly 100 years. The maps include information such as the size, shape and construction materials for urban buildings; heights and functions of structures; and the location of windows and doors. Street names, street and sidewalk widths, property boundaries, building use, and house and block numbers are also provided. Database coverage includes maps published between 1867 - 1970.
