Academic Video Online Academic Video Online offers more than 64,000 film titles in subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more. There are multiple types of video material such as documentaries, interviews, performances, news programs, field recordings, and commercials. There are also thousands of award-winning films for classroom instruction and other educational purposes.
Kanopy Kanopy is an online streaming video service that includes nearly 10,000 films from producers such as PBS, BBC, Criterion, Kino, A&E, and California Newsreel. The films are searchable by keywords or are browsable by subject areas, including Film Studies, Foreign Films, Movies and TV, Business, Global Studies & Languages, Social Studies, Media & Communications, and Science.
Naxos Video Library The Naxos Video Library is a performing arts library with hundreds of videos of operas, ballets, documentaries, live concerts, jazz performances, recitals, and musical tours of historic places. Users can search by composer, production, artist, venue, role or genre. Playlists with customized clips from any video are easily created for educational use or for hours of personal viewing.
TED: Ideas Worth Spreading This website has an extensive collection of videos and talks from Technology, Entertainment, Design (TED) Conferences with broad subject areas that include topics in Technology, Entertaiment, Design, Business, Science, and Global Issues.  Search by keyword, subject area, newest releases, favorites, and other searchable options.
Feature Films for Education Collection The Feature Films for Education Collection includes several hundred feature films that can be used for educational and instructional purposes. The collection includes a variety of popular films and award winners, documentaries, foreign films, and animation studies. New titles are added each quarter.

Audio Sources

OverDrive ebooks and more OverDrive audiobooks, music, and video can be downloaded into OverDrive Media Console (just MP3 audiobooks for Mac users). Once downloaded, titles can be enjoyed immediately or transferred to a variety of devices, including iPod and many others. Some audio titles can also be burned to CD to listen on-the-go.
Naxos Spoken Word Library An online collection of audiobooks, Naxos Spoken Word Library consists of hundreds of books, with subjects ranging from literary classics, biographies, and histories to philosophy, religion, and children’s stories. Many of these books can also be followed using the texts on screen.
Naxos Music Library Naxos Music Library offers thousands of tracks of jazz, film music, world music, and classic and contemporary rock, with customizable playlists supported. Recordings are searchable by genre, label, instrument, composer, or performer.

Safari Tech Books

Safari Tech Books Online grants access to thousands of ebooks on business, management, computer science, programming languages, and technology in addition to online tutorials, training videos, and video “case studies.” Safari provides timely access to materials published by Java, Addison-Wesley, O’Reilly, Que, Peachpit Press, Prentice Hall, Sams, Macromedia, Microsoft, CISCO, and Adobe.

Users must have a VALID UT Dallas email address in order to access Safari. Additionally, users who create an account (free) may enjoy extra benefits such as direct access to www.safaribooksonline.com without logging in through the library site, the ability to bookmark ebook and video content, and access to Safari on tablets and mobile devices through the Safari Queue app (iOS and Android compatible).

IEEE Xplore Digital Library - Wiley eBooks Library
IEEE – Wiley eBooks Library provides access to over 400 up-to-date titles, covering emerging technologies, such as bioengineering, photonics & electro-optics and robotics & control systems. Access is provided to individual chapters in PDF format.
SpringerLink is a multidisciplinary collection of over 170,000 ebooks from major scientific and academic publishers.
Science Direct
eBooks published by Elsevier in a variety of subject areas.
HathiTrust is a large digital library bringing together materials from sources including Google Books, the Internet Archive, and other commercial digitization projects. This resource is being expanded daily and provides information on more than 10 million volumes with more than a third of these available for full text access and download (primarily books and journals published before 1923 and U.S. Government publications).
ASM eBooks
The American Society for Microbiology includes 200+ scholarly books on all aspects of microbiology, including Microbial Genetics, Molecular Biology and Immunology. Content is provided as PDFs by chapter and allows for chapter-level downloading and printing.
Oxford Reference Online
Oxford Reference Online brings together language and subject reference works from one of the world’s biggest reference publishers into a single cross-searchable resource.
ACS Symposium Series
The American Chemical Society’s Symposium Series contains over 900 high-quality ebooks developed from the ACS technical divisions’ symposia. Each chapter is carefully authored by an expert in their field. The series covers a broad range of topics including food chemistry, chemical education, organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, and many others.
GeoScienceWorld eBook Collection
The GeoScienceWorld eBook Collection contains over one thousand scholarly earth science ebooks from 10 leading society publishers, including the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Geological Society of America, the Geological Society of London, and the Society of Economic Geologists. A cross-searching feature allows for simultaneous searching for 45 scholarly journals in the GeoScienceWorld Journal Collection as well as all GeoRef records. Book chapters are downloadable as PDF files. The site also features a mobile compatible ebook reader.

The IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) Digital Library contains a collection of professional and academic ebooks on the history of technology, control engineering, electrical technology, management of technology, power and energy, telecommunications, computing, and related fields.
Emerald eBook Series Collection
Emerald eBook Series Collection contains over 1,600 volumes and more than 140 book series titles in two key fields, business and economics and the social sciences. Authored by leading academics, each collection offers a breadth of relevant, quality content. The Business and Economics Collection contains more than 1,050 volumes published in 1999-2014 from over 90 ebook series titles.
