UT Dallas Emergency Preparedness Fair is Sept. 21

Sept. 19, 2007

In recognition of National Preparedness Month, UT Dallas will host a campus-wide Emergency Preparedness Fair this Friday.  Activities will include fire containment demonstrations and training with the Richardson Fire Department. Members of the UT Dallas Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program will offer suggestions on how to handle emergency situations at home, work and school.  UT Dallas was the first university in the state to have a campus first response team, which educates about disaster preparedness and trains in basic response skills, such as fire safety, search and rescue, team organization and emergency medical operations.
